Mr Vermorel picks out two merge commits (!) from BCHN's GitLab version control history to demonstrate that he does not understand how merge commit history works in GitLab.
He is right about one thing.
Are those involved in bchn not able to see his criticism and take it as motivation to clean your room? Rather than seeing it as an attack on bchn, why not see it as good feedback to
standardize and improve practices of commits, prs, and maintaining original authors across chains/projects.
Being more thorough and aiming to be the level of quality that you would
expect at PayPal or Facebook or otherwise is a good idea. Treating everything like a hackathon project isn’t scalable long term.
